Our first few months: the adventure really begins!

Life is good! This is the first blog of the Ullrich family. I just want to start off with telling everyone how AWESOME my wife Sarin is. To all my friends out there: I want you to meet Sarin. It was totally a miracle that we met (and totally a miracle that she married me).

I want to use this blog to keep in touch with friends and family. We are going to chronicle our travels (at least until we have kids), big moments in life, adventures, and anything that we would like our loved ones to know about what is going on in our lives.

I'm going to start with a bunch of pictures as a quick review of some big events through our first couple months of marriage.

As of now, we have officially moved back to Colorado to start an insurance agency with my dad and brother, Adam. My dad has been doing this for a long time, so I'm lucky to have his guidance.

Here is the recap......in pictures

If you want to hear about how we met, here's a link to the engagement blog....I know that you're probably saying to yourself, "Wow, this guy thinks that we really care about all this stuff. He must be oh so vain!"

Well, for your infomation, I wish that a lot of my friends who got married and now have blogs could post a little bit about how they met their spouse...or who their spouse is...I know you but I don't know who you married to. I guess I can just give you a call. Here's the link:

Jared & Sarin's Wedding Montage from Jason Jenkins on Vimeo.

This is an awesome wedding video that tells our story too! One of Sarin's family friends did it. He is a TOTAL PRO and has an awesome company.

We got engaged in December of 2008.
These are some pictures taken by another TOTAL PRO!

This is my bachelor party the night before the big day. Wow, this was crazy fun!
(I just had to post something about this)

We got married in Rexburg, Idaho on April 11, 2009.

After the wedding was the honeymoon! (I've been saving my money)
Stop 1: Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Stop 2: Cancun!
We mostly liked it because of the all-you-can-eat crazy awesome food!
After the honeymoon, Sarin had to go back to BYU for finals week.
(Oh yeah, did I mention that Sarin did some finals ON OUR HONEYMOON! I hung out and played pool with these young Canadian high school dudes who only spoke 99% French and 1% English....I don't think they believed me when I told them that my wife was back in the room taking a final for her Masters Degree!)
Provo is such a beautiful place! (especially when Sarin is in the picture)
This summer, we lived and worked in Seattle. I did the job that I do every summer: summer sales. Its crazy hard work, but its really fun. A lot of people can't handle or hate door to door, but for some reason, I have come to love it I think!
If you don't know what summer sales is, I'll just tell you one thing: ITS CRAZY!!
I'll leave it at that.
This summer was a big adventure! We worked super hard and had a lot of fun. Below are some picture from our trip to Astoria, Oregon. Pretty much all my life, I've been obsessed with that place because of the movie Goonies.

This is Sarin and our good friend Nate after they finished a half marathon. Sarin got second place in her division!

Right after the summer, Sarin's sister had a baby in Indiana, so we made a trip. On September 11, we rented a car and made a road trip from Indiana to Washington, D.C. just in time for the "Conservative people fed up with big goverment MARCH ON WASHINGTON."

There is so much history at that place. The founding fathers really created something great! Now its up to us to keep it that way.
Today is November 20, 2009 and this blog is officially up to date! I will try to keep it this way. If you've made it this far, you are a true friend!Posted by Picasa
